Our Directors
Born and raised on Long Island, NY, Lynda graduated from CUNY- Hunter College with a bachelor’s degree in English Language Arts and a secondary education teaching certificate. She has a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership.
Although her first love has always been teaching, for the past 20 years she has managed a well-respected pediatric practice in the suburbs of Harrisburg, PA. Several times a year she makes time to go back to school by volunteering for Junior Achievement.
Lynda’s other passion is animal rescue. She has been a volunteer with several local rescues for many years. Lynda is on the board of directors of SNAP of PA (Spay Neuter Assistance Program) and participates in local TNR (Trap/Neuter/Release) activities to reduce the feral cat population.
Lynda was raised to take pride in her Italian roots and culture. Both her mother’s and father’s families have roots in Corleone, Sicily. Lynda and her family have traveled all over Italy and Sicily, each time yearning for more. Lynda is in the final stages of obtaining her Italian citizenship. It is her intention to one day call Italy home and teach English as a second language. Thus, supporting The Sicilian Project is a natural and meaningful progression for her.
