Our Directors
Peter M. Malaguti serves as the Sicilian Project’s legal counsel. He has been a full-time professor at the Massachusetts School of Law (MSL) in Andover, Massachusetts since 1989. He has taught Property, Constitutional Law, Land Use Law, Local Government Law, Landlord-Tenant Law, and Conveyancing. He also has taught a section of, and has co-directed, MSL’s bar review course entitled Comparison of Massachusetts and National Law. He is the head coach of the law school’s national moot court teams. He has taught undergraduate classes at, and also served as Dean of, the American College of History and Legal Studies (ACHLS) in Salem, New Hampshire.
Prior to teaching law school full time, Professor Malaguti practiced law in Boston and in suburbs north of Boston; the bulk of his practice involved commercial and real estate litigation. He currently serves as MSL’s general counsel. He has significant litigation experience in the trial courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as well as in the Federal District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He has argued cases in the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and Massachusetts Appeals Court, and has participated in appeals in the Federal First Circuit Court of Appeals and Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the bars of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Federal District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the First Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
